The Nashville Chamber of Commerce general membership met yesterday at Little Nashville.  Executive Director Davanna Behr told the membership that the Volunteer of the Year Banquet on this past Monday night was a huge success and that it seemed like everyone had a good time listening to Dr. Gary Goforth.  She said there were 192 attendees and the silent auction went very well.  Money is still coming in, so an exact amount was not given, but it was profitable.  Guest speakers included Nancy Newby, Chairperson for the Washington County Relay for Life, Brian Rusiewski talking about Linked In, a professional network, and Ruth Barczewski, Kaskaskia College Director of the Nashville Extension Center, who talked about the Mouse Race Fundraiser on Saturday at the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course to raise funds for the construction of the proposed new building.  President Staci Lockhart talked about the next Chamber event, which is the Golf Outing on Saturday, April 26th.  Sponsorships are available, volunteers are needed and more information will be sent out by Behr as it becomes available.  The next meeting is on Wednesday, April 9th at noon at Buretta’s Bar & Grill.
