The Nashville Police Department issued their weekly report and they responded to calls that varied from a couple of welfare checks, recovering a stolen bicycle, trespassing at a residence on South Moore Street in which 18-year old Brandon Follis of Nashville was taken into custody on a Washington County warrant, a couple of reports of loud noise at different locations, a report of harassment on the 300 block of West Maple Street, as well assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on a call. They responded to 3 accident reports. Last Monday early afternoon, they responded to an accident at the intersection of North Washington and West Walnut Streets, as a trailer attached to a vehicle being driven by 39-year old Charles Musielak of Nashville, slid on the ice and side-swiped a vehicle driven by 25-year old Bruce Guinzy of Nashville. A week ago, they responded to an accident at the Shell Station on Route 127 near the interstate, as a semi driven by 50-year old Brian Basler of Mascoutah rear-ended a vehicle driven by 41-year old Jessy Garcia of Mount Vernon. Last Wednesday afternoon, there was an accident on Holzhauer Drive by Nashville High School as 83-year old Virgil Spenner of Hoyleton was pulling a farm implement, when it struck a parked vehicle belonging to 41-year old Karl Markham of Nashville. There were no reported injuries or citations issued in any of these accidents.
