Wamac Police have released the names of those involved in a stabbing incident just before 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon on Sanders Street. According to Wamac Police Chief Brooks Alcorn, 37-year old Curtis E. Scott, of Centralia has been arrested for felony Home Invasion Causing Bodily Injury and is being held in the Marion County Jail awaiting formal charges and the setting of bail this morning in Marion County Court. Scott is accused of stabbing 20-year old Steven Martin, of Wamac on Monday over a reported disagreement regarding money. Martin is reported to be in stable condition in Saint Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia. Martin did not end up having surgery, but is currently under observation. Early information indicated a possible firearm was involved in the incident and had been tossed into ap ickup truck, but as of this morning officers had not been able to locate a gun. Alcorn says the investigation is ongoing and there is other information officers are working on.
