Have you noticed that gas prices have been down?  Analyst Harry Cooney with Growmark’s Energy reports that prices will probably go down.  Prices at the end of last week the national average per gallon was $3.27 compared to $3.52 a year ago.  In Illinois the average was $3.34 per gallon.  Cooney also talked about propane usage this fall and winter being good, as producers are still using it in the field.  So the future of prices for fuel seems to be good for the consumer.
