MT. VERNON, IL — A Mt. Vernon man has been found guilty of first-degree murder and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. 45 year old Robert Lewis struck 62-year-old Thomas Taylor with his pickup truck last March following an argument. Lewis fled the scene, and Taylor later died from his injuries. Sentencing is scheduled for March 20th,, when Lewis faces the possibility of between 20 to 60 years in prison.
