The Nashville Police Department issued their weekly report and they responded to calls that varied from welfare checks, a theft on the 900 block of South Broadway, property damage on the 400 block of East Holzhauer Drive, a vehicle fire on the 300 block of East Lebanon, a gas drive off from the Shell station north of Nashville, a fight between 2 males on the 100 block of East David Drive, an ordinance violation on the 300 block of West Saint Louis, a couple of calls of a dispute between neighbors on the 300 block of West Maple Street, another neighbor dispute on the 100 block of East Angie Avenue and an arrest of Roger Hill of Sandoval in connection with an altercation of another worker. They also responded to 3 accident reports. One was a week ago at the intersection of Enterprise Avenue and Route 127 at approximately 4 PM as a vehicle driven by 36-year old Adam Davies of Marion, Illinois was westbound on Enterprise Avenue approaching the stoplight, when he didn’t realize that traffic was stopped at the light and he rear-ended a vehicle driven by 41-year old Jimmy Newton of Pinckneyville. Another accident was last Wednesday at approximately 2 PM, when 71-year old James Sisney of Nashville was driving a vehicle and was on East Maple Street, but attempting to cross North Mill Street. He did not see the southbound vehicle driven by 28-year old Sean Abernathy, also of Nashville, as Sisney struck the driver’s side of Abernathy’s vehicle. The third accident was on Saturday at 1 PM, when a truck with a boat on a trailer, driven by James Veach of Salem was on Route 127, attempting to turn right. A car driven by Yuhong Qin of Carbondale was unable to stop and struck the rear of the passenger side of the truck and trailer. In all three accidents there was no mention of any injuries or citations issued.
