Yesterday was the first day for filing to be on the upcoming ballots in the primary election next Spring. The Washington County Clerk and Recorder’s Office reported that 3 people filed for State’s Attorney. Republicans Heath Hooks and Daniel Bronke were at the office first thing in the morning and there will be a lottery to see whose name is 1st on the ballot. Meanwhile, Democrat Celeste Kornado filed to run for the position. Only Mark Styninger filed yesterday for the Coroner position and in County Board District #2, only Leo Barczewski filed.
