Besides the many accidents the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to in the past week, last Wednesday, they assisted the Hoyleton Fire Department with a vehicle submerged in water in rural Hoyleton, served a Jefferson County warrant on 32-year old Amanda S. York of Ashley and assisted the Nashville Police Department with a domestic dispute. On Thursday, they removed a deer from Route 15 near U.S. Highway 51. On Friday, they responded to a report of suspicious activity in rural Nashville and took a report of telephone harassment from an individual in rural Radom. On Saturday, deputies assisted the Illinois Department of Transportation with traffic control while they cleared a tree from Route 153 that had fallen and assisted with a medical call in rural DuBois. They arrested 31-year old Ramirez L. Sangabriel of Nashville on a failure to appear on a Washington County warrant for an original charge of Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Finally, on Sunday, they reported to an abandoned vehicle on Route 127 and Walnut Hill Road near New Minden.
