There was a ribbon cutting ceremony in Nashville last week, as Penny Lane Consignment Boutique celebrated their opening in the building behind Mill Street Pizza. Owner Jennifer Aguilar talks about the store being unique, as it is a consignment and boutique store, with a large line of consignment, but also new styles of clothing for women and men, as well as some gifting items, such as coffee cups and wine glasses, cards and accessories. They have a line of jewelry and new children’s clothes. The store is also unique in that there is rental space that will be used for vendor and flea market events. Aguilar says she also wants to have flea markets outside in the summer. The store is closed Sundays and Mondays, but are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, then from 8:30 AM to 6 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. If someone wants to sell items through Penny Lane Consignment Boutique, call ahead, but be sure to bring the items freshly laundered. Aguilar says she is also passionate about keeping the textiles out of the landfills, so the store is a drop off location for ripped, stained or torn clothing. She works with a recycler and artists in Saint Louis that will use the clothing. For more information, call 618-980-7355 or visit on Facebook at Penny Lane Consignment Boutique.
