Jennifer “Jenny” Lynn White, 51, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:22 am March 30, 2025 at her residence. She was born October 1, 1973 in Olney, Illinois to Darrell Griffy and Pamela (Miller) Wooden. Jenny married Daniel White on May 19, 2001.

Jenny is survived by her beloved husband of nearly twenty-four years, Daniel White; mother, Pamela Wooden of Mount Vernon; children, Abigail Wilson and husband, Levi of Evansville, Indiana, Cassandra White of Mount Vernon, and Megan White of Mount Vernon; siblings, Christopher Griffy and wife, Mary Ann of Salem, Illinois and Jeffrey Griffy and wife, Candice of Fenton, Missouri.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Griffy.

Jenny was a member of Connexion Church and worked as a radiologic technologist for many years at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital. She had been in charge of Operation Christmas Child at both Logan Street Baptist Church and Connexion Church. She loved flowers and animals and enjoyed gardening. Above all, Jenny loved her family and put them first.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Connexion Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Pastor Matt Griswold officiating. Interment will follow at New Shiloh Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Jenny’s honor to Connexion Church for Operation Christmas Child.
