Tonya Lynn (White) Godbey, 47, of Alma, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025.  She was born December 15, 1977, in Flora, Illinois, the daughter of Janie (Potter) Vest, and Rick White.

Tonya is survived by her fiancée, Shawn Woodward, set to be married in October of 2025; mother, Janie Vest; father, Rick White and wife Diane; daughter, Hali Schoreck Brown and husband Cameron Brown; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Akeen, Anaya, and Amarion Brown; sister, Veronica (White) Clark and partner Lori Beckham;  stepsisters, Sandi West and husband Wesley, Crystal Fugate and husband Brian; niece, Jordan Padilla and husband Aaron Stoker; great-nieces, Riley Smith and Stella Stoker; niece, Olivia McLean and boyfriend Logan Rohrscheib; great-nephew, Theodore Rohrscheib; and niece, Gillian McLean and boyfriend Lucas Morris.

She was preceded in death by her brother Zachariah (Zach) Vest.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites for Ms. Godbey have been accorded, and her family will be hosting a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Main Street Christian Church, in Kell, Illinois, with Brad Green officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the church.  Memorial gifts may be made to the family of Ms. Godbey, in order to assist with funeral expenses, and will be received at the service, by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
