Stewart Gene Rogers, 85, of Bonnie, Illinois, passed away at 11:14 pm November 26, 2024 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born March 30, 1939 in Nason, Illinois to the late Geno and LuVera (Stewart) Rogers. Stewart first married Linda Sue (Moore) Rogers on June 24, 1961 in Jonesboro, Illinois. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2021. He later met June (Hall) at Bakerville Freewill Baptist Church and they were married on August 26, 2023.
In addition to his beloved wife, Stewart is survived by children, Crystal Lynch and husband, Bill, Greg Rogers and wife, Shannon, and Pamela Page and husband, Garrett; grandchildren, Jason Duncan, Kyle Duncan, Bradley Duncan and wife, Laura, Derek Tepovich and wife, Jamie, Matthew Rogers, and Gabriel Page; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Duncan, Mila Tepovich, Graham Tepovich, and Maren Tepovich.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Stewart was preceded in death by his sister, Lenora Ann Baker and her husband, Carl.
Stewart was a black belt in karate. He enjoyed golf and was very active in his church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and adored him.
A Greeting of Family and Friends will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois. A Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 am. A Flag Presentation will be conducted by the American Legion Post #141. Inurnment will follow. Memorials may be made in Stewart’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
