CARBONDALE — Authorities responded to the scene of a crash Wednesday between an Amtrak Train and a truck tractor in Jackson County.

According to the Illinois State Police, the incident happened in the area of US 51 and Fox Road, between Carbondale and De Soto.

According to Amtrak, the crash caused the Saluki line from Chicago to Carbondale to be delayed
