MARION COUNTY — Area motorists should be prepared for all Route 161 Extension traffic to be detoured starting Tuesday, March 19, and continuing through Friday, March 22, so repairs can be made to the Skillet Fork Bridge.

A structural plate had been installed on a portion of the bridge experiencing concrete failure. That plate and failing concrete will be removed next week, and new concrete poured in its place.

Motorists are urged to follow the 15-ton weight limit over the bridge to avoid its failure and complete closure.
