Miley Cyrus, 31 and Pharrell Williams, 50, have teamed up for the single “Doctor (Work It Out),” produced by Williams.  The song marks Cyrus’ first release since her album Endless Summer Vacation dropped in March 2023,

“Doctor (Work It Out)” was reportedly first created during recording sessions for Cyrus’ album 2013 album, Bangerz.   Cyrus and Williams first previewed the song in January, during the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2024 Collection presentation in Paris. Cyrus later shared a snippet of the video to her Instagram, showing a clip of her dancing.

Miley and Williams spoke with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about the collaboration, with Miley sharing that Williams was pivotal in helping her shed her ‘Disney Channel/Hannah Montana’ image: “He [Pharrell] really was the only one that I could kind of tell him what I really wanted, what I really wanted to make, who I really wanted to be, what I really wanted to do.
