SOUTHERN ILLINOIS –Bitter Cold Temps are slated to return to the area tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has again issued Wind Chill Advisories for our listening area starting Friday at 6 p.m. for our listening area north of Jefferson County, and at 9 p.m. for our listeners in Jefferson County and south.

Temperatures in the northern portion are expected to reach again as low as 20 degrees below zero and as low as 14 degrees below zero for the southern portion of our listening area. The advisory continues until noon on Saturday.

But hang in there. By next Wednesday, weather service forecast officials are showing temperatures near the 50-degree mark.
