JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirms a second person has died from injuries sustained in a two-car crash Friday afternoon.

According to reports, 48-year-old Christopher Sherrow, of Bowling Green, Missouri, died Saturday night from injuries he sustained in the crash.

Sherrow was one of three people involved in a two-car crash on Friday near Route 148 and Cherryville Lane east of Waltonville.

The crash ejected a couple from Sesser, 47-year-old Lanetta Lomelino, and her husband, David.

Lanetta was pronounced dead at the scene and David was airlifted to Saint Louis University Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
