Santa Claus is coming to town. It is Santa Saturday in Nashville tomorrow with Santa arriving to visit with the children at the newly renovated L & N Train Depot from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. It is being held there this year, as the renovation on the Washington Courthouse is not complete and the area in front where Santa’s House is usually at, is not available. Santa will be meeting with kids and handing out a special movie pass good at the Nashville State Theater, as well as for popcorn and a drink, all thanks to the Nashville Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Police of Nashville. Pictures will also be available. Santa will be at the train depot on each Saturday in December from 2 to 4 PM, as well as on Sunday, December 20th from 2 to 4 PM. Then on the Monday through Wednesday before Christmas, Santa will be there from 4 to 6:30 PM. The event is put on by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and Director Doris Povolish says the focus is also on shopping locally, saying we need to keep our money in town, because Nashville is really lucky to have all the stores that we do, as a lot of towns don’t have that. Keeping the money local helps support them, which in turn allows the stores to support other organizations and so forth. If you have any questions, contact the Nashville Chamber of Commerce office at 327-3700.
