The Saint Louis Zoo has agreed to buy the Saint Louis-area’s sprawling animal park known as Grant’s Farm, with certain conditions.  The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch reports the $30 million deal would triple the zoo’s acreage, add a third campus to its holds and allow the zoo to build a “robust” breeding site for endangered animals.  But the deal only goes through if a Saint Louis judge agrees with four of six Busch heirs to release the land from a trust.  The other stipulation is that area residents approve an added tax to fund as much as $8.5 million in yearly park operation costs.  A-B InBev, which leases the land from the Busch family, has agreed to donate about $27 million to the zoo for the purchase of Grant’s Farm.
