The Washington County Hospital Women’s Auxiliary have donated four new beds for the Acute Care Wing.  These new digital beds have improved patient care with their new functions.  Some of the new functions include a bed alarm to make patients with a fall hazard more secure, a weight function to allow staff to monitor patient’s weights, increased mobility to make the patient more comfortable, and mattresses that are pressure reducing to decrease the chance of bed sores.  The Women’s Auxiliary have been very active with raising money to be able to donate these and many more items to the hospital.  The Women’s Auxiliary just hosted their Annual Christmas Boutique and Bake Sale.  They also run the local Thrift Store and Gift Shop at the Hospital.  There are many new items at the Gift Shop including Melissa and Doug Educational toys and crafts, handmade knitted and jewelry items, and many more.  WCH would like to thank all the Women’s Auxiliary Members for their donations and support to improve healthcare in our community.
