The Nashville Police responded to several accidents last week, but they also responded to the 400 block of West Saint Louis Street for a theft last Monday, went to the 200 block of West Belleville Street for a city ordinance violation, as well as conducted a traffic stop on West Saint Louis Street at South Bryan Street.  They arrested 50-year old Theresa A. Burdel of Tamaroa, after the K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, which led to a search and several pills were recovered and found to be a controlled substance.  Burdel was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Last Tuesday, they assisted a motorist on Route 127, responded to an abandoned vehicle on East Adams Street and had it towed, went to Route 127 north of the interstate overpass for debris on the roadway and responded to the 800 block of South Kaskaskia Street for soliciting without a permit.  One week ago, officers went to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for a report of child custody interference, responded to the 700 block of South Mill Street for a report of telephone harassment and arrested 22-year old Cassandra K. Burdel of Nashville on a Perry County warrant.  On Thursday, they assisted the Okawville Police in regards to a female who was trying to fight the peace officers.  On Friday, they went to the 100 block of East Angie Avenue for suspicious activity.  On Saturday, the NPD responded to a report of gas drive off at Casey’s General Store and went to the 200 block of East Saint Louis Street for a 911 hang up call.  On Sunday, they arrested Tequia Walker of East Saint Louis for Driving While License Suspended after initiating a traffic stop and responded to the 600 block of East Memorial Drive for another 911 hang up call.
