The March Primary Election is over, ready for the November Election?  Here is what the ballot will look like in Washington County.  For U.S. Senate, it will be Incumbent Democrat Richard Durbin against Republican James Oberweis.  For Governor – Lt. Governor, Quinn – Vallas for the Democrats against Rauner – Sanguinetti for the Republicans.  In the Attorney General race, current office holder, Democrat Lisa Madigan goes against Republican Paul Schimpf.  Democrat Jesse White seeks re-election for Secretary of State against Republican Michael Webster.  Incumbent Comptroller Republican Judy Baar Topinka will take on current Lt. Governor Democrat Sheila Simon.  There will be a new Treasurer, as Democrat Michael Frerichs goes against Republican Tom Cross.  Republican John Shimkus looks to retain his seat in the 15th U.S. Representative District as he takes on Democrat Eric Thorsland.  Only Democrat Lynn Foster is on any ballot for State Central Committeewoman for the 15th Congressional District.  As is Brandon Phelps for Committeeman for the same district.  For State Senator, Republican Kyle McCarter is unopposed.  Republican Charlie Meier is the only candidate for Representative in the 108th Representative District.  In the race for 115th District State Representative it will be Democrat William Kilquist against Republican Terri Bryant.  For Washington County, there will be a new County Clerk and Republican Nancy Heseman will be unopposed.  There will also be a new Treasurer, as it will be Democrat Nancy Eigenrauch against Republican Kelly Cameron.  There will be a new Sheriff, as well, as Democrat Harry Berger takes on Republican Danny Bradac.  Yet again, there will be someone new in the Assessor’s Office, as Republican Sharon Harre Mewes is unchallenged.  On the ballot for the Regional Superintendent of Schools for Clinton, Jefferson, Marion and Washington Counties, it is incumbent Keri Garrett on the Democrat side against current ROE Superintendent of Jefferson – Hamilton Counties, Ron Daniels on the Republican side.   For the Regional Superintendent of Schools in Saint Clair County, Democrat Susan Sarfaty is alone on the ballot.
