The Rend Lake College Board of Trustees met Tuesday night and they learned that Elijah Liske has been elected as the new student member of the Rend Lake College Board of Trustees for the 2014-2015 academic year.  Liske is from Sesser and is studying Agricultural Production and Management and Agricultural Mechanics.  He will be seated at the April board meeting.  He replaces outgoing student trustee Haden Smith of Wayne City.  The Board appointed Charlotte Henry as Health Information Technology Program Director effective April 21. She most recently served as Health Care Information Department Supervisor at Southern Illinois Healthcare.  They also appointed Melissa Goin as Accounts Receivable Specialist effective March 17^th.  She holds an Associate in Science Degree in Business from Rend Lake College and most recently served as a fiscal office support associate for University of Illinois Extension Unit 24.  The board accepted with regret the resignation of Ann Sutton, Testing and Placement Specialist, effective May 16^th.  Upcoming events include the Spring Musical, “Little Shop of Horrors,” on April 3^rd through the 6^th at the RLC Theatre, the Spring Concert on April 24^th in the RLC Theatre, the Spring Orchestra Concert on Sunday, April 27, in the RLC Theatre and Commencements will be at 10 AM and 1 PM on Saturday, May 17^th in Waugh Gymnasium.
