There is a Job Search Workshop at the Workforce Center in Centralia tomorrow morning.  It will be held from 10:30 AM to Noon at 325 South Poplar in Centralia and it is free.  Kaskaskia College Career Services Specialist Wendy Blythe presents these every month.  She helps someone identify what their skills are and what they can bring to an employer.  This also includes interviewing skills, physical presentation, putting resumes, cover letters and applications together.  She stresses that eye contact and handshaking are important things during an interview, so even those are practiced.  There are short tests to find out what an person is interested in or have knowledge about to help them find a career or direction, which may include more education.  These workshops are for current students or residents of the community.  There is usually one workshop per month.  For more information, contact Wendy Blythe at 618-545-3073.
