Murray State University recently presented their 2013 Outstanding Agriculture Alumnus award to a Nashville resident during Homecoming Weekend 2013.  Bret Cude, a senior farm manager-land broker for Farmers National Company in Nashville for 20 years graduated from MSU in 1981 with a Bachelor in Science degree in agriculture, specializing in agriculture business.  He matches up farmers without land with those with land that could to be used for farming.  He says it is easy to find farmers, but it is tougher to find someone with land to get them to allow for farming.  He is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri.  He says he has agriculture in his blood, as he grew up on a dairy farm in Kentucky, near MSU.  Cude says this is a great time for farming and has been for many years and he expects it to last.
