Precipitation was up for the month of October in Washington County.  According to readings taken by the City of Nashville Water Plant, 2.79 inches of rain fell, one full inch more than in September and August each.  Last October there was 4.52 inches of rain that fell.  Comparing the year to date totals, there has been 39.45 inches of rainfall this year, and there was 32.23 inches of rain at this time last year.  Temperatures were very warm, yet cold for October.  The high was 84 degrees on the 2nd of the month, with the low of 25 degrees on October 25th for a range of 59 degrees.  The average high temperature was 67.8 degrees with the average low temperature at 46.5 degrees for October.  That’s 3 degrees warmer than last October for the high and 1.5 degrees warmer for the low.
