The Memorial Park Board met last night for a short meeting. They discussed some maintenance things that can be done, including getting some limbs down that are in bad shape on some of the trees. Another idea is to plant more trees in the future. The ball diamonds need to be graded and they will look into getting that done soon. There was then the question that there might not be a little league next summer or more of traveling league teams, which would mean less use at the ball diamonds in the summer. L.E.D. lights were installed at the War Memorial and the Board will get the specifications on what it will take to separate the pavilion by the ball diamonds from the power to the lights there. Once they get that information, they will seek bids. In other business, they are still seeking a groundskeeper for next year, as the current ones are retiring.
