V1047 also features sports play-by-play originations for many sports for our local teams! In essence, V1047 has Washington County’s sports covered!

WNSV boasts two broadcasters that are members of the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame! Brad “Bo” Meyer and Brad “Beefcake” McClay have the call of every Nashville Hornets game from the kickoff of the football season, through the cutting down of the nets during basketball season, all the way to the last out of Hornet Baseball!

V1047 is also proud to feature the Nashville Hornettes! From Hornette Volleyball to basketball and finishing strong with softball, we’ll have the Hornettes on the air too! Sometimes they can’t air live, but we do our best to air them on a delay following Hornets games!

How ’bout them Okawville Rockets and Lady Rockets?!? The V also has the call of select OHS basketball games throughout the year!

We’re also proud to broadcast junior high sports! Now we can’t be there every game–but when one of our own reaches the state finals of a Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Assocation-sanctioned sport; The V tries to be there!

The V is also your home for every game of the Mater Dei Holiday Tournament (featuring the Nashville Hornets and Okawville Rockets) and Nashville Invitational Tournament–two of the premier boys’ basketball tournaments in the entire state of Illinois! V1047 also broadcasts the IHSA Class 1A and 2A Boys’ Basketball State Finals in their entirety!

We like to sometimes think that WNSV stands for “Nashville’s Sports Voice!”
